How we grew from honey-do to professional remodeling work.
Hello! This is Ray, your handyman, and I’m excited to share a bit about my journey and the passion that drives me.
It all began when I met my wife in 2010. Our first date was unlike any other—it involved not just dinner and a movie but also the challenge of installing wooden window blinds she had purchased weeks prior. I was eager to help and showcase my handy skills. This sparked a beautiful collaboration as we tackled a long list of projects. We moved in together and transformed our home by painting the entire exterior, replacing the front porch columns, renovating the bathroom, and several other projects.
After much hard work, we saw the property value soar and decided to sell. This journey deepened our passion for DIY and home redesign. At our next place, we continued our creative endeavors, which inspired me to pursue formal training at the local college, studying woodworking and construction.
In 2019, Ray’s Upgrade was born! I started with simple repairs, evolving into constructing entire fences, pergolas, floors, and kitchen backsplashes, ultimately focusing on what I love most: complete bathroom remodels. Together with my wife, who excels in administrative and design aspects, and my father-in-law, a seasoned plumber, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer service while keeping our work affordable.
